In the aforementioned tutorial, the trick is in mounting the device and then loading the drivers, but I'm unable to do so.
Basically, the device is being recognized as a USB device, then promptly after that it loads as a 'CDC Ethernet Device'. However, I am not able to actually mount this device, and can therefore not extract the drivers. According to this page, the Linux drivers are actually on the device and can be installed relatively easy, including on Arch. Thats why i want to get the new device up and running.I've got an Huawei HiLink E303 USB G3-internet dongle that I'd like to use to connect to the internet. Side note 1: if I use an olther HUAWEI device without mbim support, it is correctly switched by usbmodeswitch and works correctly - but very slow. n0#p779780 is about quite the same problem - but the given solution does not work under LMDE. Modem manager 1.0 states, that it added compabibility for mbim - but it does not appear to be available in the repositories for LMDE.
